What is Collections?

Collections is a payment platform that helps businesses collect international payments from customers and businesses. It supports many local currencies with real-time settlements in stablecoins of your choice. The platform offers a user centred dashboard for managing ongoing and upcoming Invoices and allows auto Invoice creation and attachment along with timely reminders to customers.

What can I use Collections for?

You can use Collections for a variety of use cases. Businesses use Collections for vendor payments, manufacturer payments, freelancer payments, influencer payments and more.

Do I need to be a Registered Business?

Yes, Collections can be used only by registered businesses. If you are not yet registered as a business but plan to start soon, you can sign up and explore the product in test environment. We also enable setting up an account with transaction limits after understanding your business and future needs.

How can I get started? What documents are needed?

For Collections account activation, contact us at sales@transfi.com. For inquiries or custom solutions, reach out to our sales team, and we'll respond within 24 hours. You can also explore our test environment and use test API credentials to trial the integration before going live.

What is meant by Settlement? How long does TransFi take to settle my payments?

Settlement refers to the settling of payment by TransFi to you. Settlements can be done both in real time and batch based on the configuration.

How long does it take to receive funds?

Transfers may be near-instant or processed in batches, depending on your setup. For real-time collections, settlements are initiated immediately upon receipt of payment from the customer. For batched collections, settlements are processed together at a pre-agreed cut-off time.

Do you support Collections from all banks and payment methods?

Collections support almost all banks available in the UK along with all major local payment methods. TransFi currently supports collections in more than 70 countries with all major local payment methods.

Can I assign Maker-Checker roles to request and approve transfers?

As an admin, you can invite teammates and assign them specific roles such as Maker and Approver. Makers initiate transfers, which then appear on the 'Approve' screen for Approvers to review and either approve or reject. This system distributes responsibilities and enhances accountability in managing Invoice payments.

How can I track real-time status once a payment has been initiated by customers?

You can track status by visiting the Transactions screen of your Payment Collections platform. For any initiated or pending payment, there are dedicated entries to help you reconcile and track with clarity. The platform also allows you to send payment reminders to the customer against each invoice in case the payment has not been initiated from the customer's end.

Can I receive notifications about payment status changes and other events related to my Invoice payment?

Webhooks allow you to automatically receive timely and accurate updates on the status of payments. By configuring a webhook, you can monitor key events—such as changes in payment status—triggered by your requests and processed either in real-time or with a delay. While most updates are provided promptly, certain payment methods may require additional time for confirmation. You will receive a notification from TransFi as soon as the payment status is confirmed by the bank.
